Grants Pass High School Stringed orchestra, has auditioned and won itself an opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York during June of 2004 and will play as part
of the New York Youth Orchestra Festival,(a World Projects Inc.) sponsored event. In their audition they played one of Mozart’s Divertimenti in f major.
The entire Grants Pass Stringed Orchestra will play a fifty-minute performance and their week will be filled with music. Our congratulations to these fine young musicians and their Music Director and Conductor Laura Bolden.

Mr. and Mrs. William Pinches member PAVM, who own and operate a violin shop in Eureka, Ca. are celebrating their sixtieth wedding anniversary the weekend of June 27, with a big party and two Stringed Quartets. Congratulations

This article is to honor and thank a man who for most of his life focused on making quality hand made instruments for those who could not really afford them. A grown man, who would never forget when he was a boy and could not afford a violin, He set out to make one for himself. He made his first violin in his lap with a few tools from Sears Roebuck Co., and went on to make 405 violins, violas and cellos. Among his completed instruments, are 108 celli. Continue
